Wow. Thousands of Man hours were ripped to shreds by one of Mother Nature's whims. Our camp was devastated. Jaws hung open in disbelief.

This was a critical point in my Burning Man experience this year.

This was NOT what was supposed to happen.

I had two choices:
  1. Be upset that our work was destroyed. Be bitter that the conditions aren't ideal. Be mad that none of my costumes work in this crappy weather.
  2. Let go of the way I wanted this experience to be, and look at at with fresh eyes. Try to see it free from my expectations and see what good is there below the surface.
